Bitcoin at Ezz

Bitcoin sits at the conservative end of the coin rails: the oldest ledger, the longest block interval, and the fee most sensitive to how busy the network happens to be. None of that makes it a bad choice, but it does mean the waiting behaves differently from the faster coins described on the crypto page. This file covers what changes in practice.

Block interval against confirmation count

The operator requires a number of confirmations before crediting, and each confirmation is one block. Because blocks arrive roughly every ten minutes on this ledger, the same confirmation requirement takes noticeably longer here than on a faster chain. The waiting is therefore predictable rather than mysterious — and it is a reason to send a deposit before wanting to play, not while wanting to.

The fee belongs to the network

The fee attached to a transfer is bid to the participants who process blocks; it is not charged by the operator and not refunded when something goes wrong elsewhere. Setting it too low on a busy day means a transaction that sits unconfirmed for a long time, still visible on the explorer and still uncredited. Wallets that estimate the fee automatically avoid most of that, and the estimate is worth glancing at rather than accepting blindly.

Where the euro value is fixed

The gaming balance is denominated in euro, and the conversion happens at the moment of crediting, not at the moment of sending. On a chain with a slow confirmation cycle, the two moments can be far enough apart for the rate to have moved. A dollar-pegged token narrows that drift substantially, at the cost of adding a network choice; the trade-off is described on the crypto page.

Coming back out

Payouts return to an address supplied by the player, after the operator's financial review, generally within 24 hours. The wallet holding that address should be one the player controls, and the recovery phrase for it should live on paper rather than in a photo library. There is no account recovery on this rail and no support desk that can restore access, which is the honest price of the autonomy it offers.
